Biography Notes...
Born in Chelsea Massachusetts in 1951, raised in
Maine ( Island Falls, Fort Kent, Gardiner, Presque Isle, Dover-Foxcroft) David
graduated from EMVTI in 1973 and worked for various car dealerships in the
Bangor area until starting work for UPS in 1979. David's UPS career
spanned 21 years, working first out of Bangor, ME for 12 years, then Calais,
ME. David and Jean became foster parents in 1993 and
after David got through at UPS they became full time therapeutic
foster parents until 2002.
David met and married Jean in 1990 and they have
been busy rebuilding old houses and enjoying life. They have 4 children and 6
grandchildren (as of March 2003)
David made wooden screen
doors in Waldoboro, ME, and now uses a loom to make various cloth for
sale..
Hobbies include flying (got
license in 1993), hiking (have hiked the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to
northern Virginia and most of Maine), snowshoeing, fishing, woodworking
(making furniture and toys for family), and being a grandfather.
