Angel Gingerbread
Mix in order:

1 egg - well beaten |

1/2 cup - sugar |

1/4 cup - molasses |
|
1/2 cup - melted butter |
|
1 cup - flour |
|
1/4 tablespoon - salt |
|
1 teaspoon - vanilla |
|
1 scant teaspoon - baking soda dissolved in 1/2 cup boiling water |
Bake at 375 degrees until a toothpick comes out clean.
