Here's what's cookin' in Susan's oven!

Apple Crisp         

 

4 cups - cooking apples (cored and pared)

1 tablespoon - lemon juice

1/3 cup - all-purpose flour (sifted)

1 cup - oatmeal, uncooked

1/2 cup - brown sugar (packed)

1/2 teaspoon - salt

1 teaspoon - powdered cinnamon

1/3 cup - melted butter

Pour apples into greased shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

Combine dry ingredients. Add melted butter. Mix until it as a texture of coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples.

Bake at 375 for 1/2 hour, or until apples are done.
