Dark Pudding and Foamy Sauce
|1 cup - molasses|
|1 cup - sour milk|
|1/2 cup (scant) - salt pork - chopped fine|
|1 1/2 teaspoon - baking soda|
|1 teaspoon - salt|
|1 cup - raisins|
|cloves, cinnamon & nutmeg|
|flour to make quite thick|
steam for 3 hours
|1 cup - sugar|
and add butter the size of a walnut.
Pour over it 1 1/2 cups boiling water and beat.
Serve in small pitcher to be poured over dark pudding.
